Love that Golem made a cameo in a presentation about community gardens…and an excellent point was made. (at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando)
B’s dumpster arrives! He’ll be painting it today. Would rather he was painting a fence around it, but this is the next best thing. (at Camp O’Connor)
This could be a long story, but I’ll try to keep it short. Several months ago, the Hunt’s dog was sick and Jason offered to use his considerable talents to create a portrait of your pet for a lower than usual price to cover vet bills. (Let’s stop right there for a second and ponder the beauty of that.) We sent Jason a picture of Morton, then flashforward a touch to May when we received the portrait. Jason and Mary couldn’t have known that we were starting to face some tough realities about Mort at that time. Though every artist probably hopes they create work that will be treasured, in this case it is absolutely true. The art now is now part of our shrine. The shrine pays homage to those we’ve lost and every positive - even fictional - belief is welcome there. The portrait is now there, with a ball - still unwashed, from the last time we played - and yes, that is a cup of food in case he wants it.
